Account Executive

HCI Energy is an early-stage company that designs and builds hybrid power systems for mission critical applications. By utilizing a combination of renewable energy (solar and wind) along with highly efficient generator technology, we provide ultimate power reliability on or off-grid. As an Account Executive, you'll act as the link between HCI and our customers. You will strive to understand your client's goals so that they may be met with effective solutions by using HCI’s suite of hybrid power products. You will be responsible for finding leads, closing sales, supporting existing clients, coordinating account activity and managing projects across different teams internally to ensure we meet the customer’s goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed business plans designed to attain predetermined goals and quotas
- Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal
- Unearth new sales opportunities through calls, email, researching and networking and turn them into long-term partnerships
- Present products to prospective clients
- Provide professional after-sales support to maximize customer loyalty
- Remain in regular contact with your clients to understand and meet their needs
- Respond to complaints and leverage internal team members to resolve issues to the customer’s satisfaction
- Maintain CRM data and regular reporting on sales, pricing, products, and overall forecasting thru the sales cycle
- Partner with engineering and product management to ensure HCI’s solutions and delivery meet the customer’s needs
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Account Executive, or similar sales/customer service role (3+ years experience preferred)
- Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (eg. HubSpot)
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational, interpersonal, and team skills
- Ability to lead projects, prioritize and handle multiple requests concurrently and consistently deliver superior results in a timely fashion
- A professional business acumen
- Enthusiastic and passionate
- BS or BA in business administration, sales or marketing
- Attending conferences and visiting customer locations is an essential part of building strong relationship with our customers. The travel expectation is ~25%.
