Duties and Responsibilities

  • Confer with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
  • Design, implement, and improve electrical facilities and systems for commercial, industrial, and utility purposes.
  • Direct and coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish construction and installation standards and specifications.
  • Plan and implement methodologies and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
  • Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment and/or the solicitations of labor.
  • Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
  • Oversee project construction efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
  • Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.
  • Conduct field surveys and study maps, graphs, diagrams, and other data to identify and correct power system problems.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and discipline with a strong work ethic.
  • Investigate customer complaints, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend remedial measures.
  • Engineering work associated with the addition or removal of communications power equipment (rectifiers, batteries, UPS systems, etc.); running, lacing and terminating power and ground cable; alarm wiring and connections; construction of cable racking infrastructure and mounting bays.
  • Follow industry and customer standards relative to ampacity, grounding, cable sizing, etc.; prepare and submit Method of Procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Electrical/Controls Engineering
  • 2+ years professional experience
  • Professional interest in energy technologies and battery energy storage
  • Experience with batteries and DC Power Systems
  • Familiarity with codes and standards to include the NEC
  • Must have an extensive understanding of communications power procedures and be proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Fast learner across multiple disciplines

Preferred Requirements:

  • Telecom, Public Safety, Renewables & Environmental experience
  • Demonstrated ability to perform walk-throughs and create project estimates, material lists, and design packages
  • Experience in the construction and commissioning of electric power projects
  • Technology experience- can be storage, solar, wind, gas, etc.
  • Ability to read and review engineering drawings (single line diagrams, three-line diagrams, construction drawings), network diagrams, SCADA documentation, etc.
  • Experience in creating detailed engineering packages and ability to interface with customer and field representatives to monitor all installation requirements.

  • Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic
  • 2+ years demonstrated, related experience required
  • Electrical/Power Systems Testing experience required
  • Electrical/Power Systems Quality Control required
  • Experience in the construction and commissioning of electric power projects.
  • Possess an understanding of Electrical Engineering best practices through product life cycles, build processes, and process engineering
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time
  • Professional interest in energy technologies and battery storage
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

Build/Install/Integrate generators, battery energy storage, solar arrays, and wind turbines in a pre-packaged, turn-key product. HCI utilizes ISO Containers and custom designed shelters to produce the Hybrid Cube. Work with engines, electrical components and wiring, run conduit, lighting, alarms, and power. Wire up solar panels, batteries, and power conversion equipment. Span of control may include small and heavy equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess an Associate’s Degree, Technical Degree, Certification or Training as an Apprentice or Electrician or appropriate on-the-job experience
  • 2+ years professional work experience required
  • Some electrical knowledge (OHMS LAW, use of multimeter, wire and conduit standards, codes, etc.)
  • Experience in power, automotive, construction, heavy equipment, or commercial machinery.
  • Willingness to travel (possibly internationally) up to 10% of the time.
  • Must have superior attention to detail and the ability to be coached.
  • Team oriented and work to meet target goals and dates.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Understand wiring schematics and engineering drawings.

The Business Manager will be responsible for running the business and administration of our lines of business: Testing, Service & Maintenance, Contract Management of key customer contracts, and shipping and coordination (both national and international).   • Manage and report on the P&L and budgets of the service line of business
  • Understand maintenance contract terms and ensure HCI meets a high level of customer service and response times
  • Team planning and scheduling. Serve as the coordination hub for the Testing, Service and Maintenance team
  • Handle customer invoicing and assigning expenses (Initial Deployment, T&E follow-on, Warranty, Service contract, Special service, etc.)
  • Work with third party service providers and ensure they are compliant to the HCI contract and the customer master contract

Contract Management:

  • Manage the customer contracts to ensure HCI complies
  • Coordinating customer milestone payments of Hybrid Power Shelters and ZPM product lines
  • Coordinate customer data submissions and approvals

Shipping:

  • Prepare shipping documents (National and International)
  • Schedule shipments of outbound products

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Read and understand business contracts
  • Detail oriented
  • Working knowledge of standard electrical and mechanical hardware.
  • Knowledge of Shipping regulations
  • Proficient with an ERP or MRP system
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, especially MS-Excel
