APCO 2016 Serves as Perfect Backdrop for the Unveiling

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (Aug. 19, 2016) — This week, HCI Energy, LLC attended APCO 2016, APCO International’s Annual Conference & Expo, where the company proudly introduced several new models of its Hybrid Cube. The patented Hybrid Cube incorporates solar, wind, battery and hydrogen fuel technology in one automated self-deploying container to deliver reliable energy anywhere, anytime. The container houses all stand-alone and backup power for telecom/radio equipment to be deployed at remote tower locations and dispatch sites.

Tim Tierney, vice president of domestic business development for HCI Energy, stated, “Though these technologies are nothing new to the market, what is new is the way they are fully integrated within the Cube. This is simply not ‘bolting on’ solar panels or wind generators. Rather, the retractable, automated solar panels and wind tower places considerable stress on the entire structure requiring the Cube to be engineered from top to bottom.”

Product highlights of the Hybrid Cube include:

  • New models released, including the Cube-10 and Cube-20
  • Customizable configuration options such as wind and solar (Cube 10SW and 20SW), hydrogen fuel cell, diesel or propane generator
  • The ability to be designed to many grounding specifications such as R56
  • One central location for staging all equipment housed in the Cube combined with quick and easy deployment, significantly reducing field set-up time

The Cube incorporates “always on” technology to considerably increase battery life and ensure zero power interruption to any attached equipment. When critical electrical power must be disruption-free, the Hybrid Cube provides an efficient, affordable and reliable solution that is secure and environmentally savvy, and be easily delivered to any location. The Cube serves as an effective means for integrating energy storage, conditioning and switching into a mature system that meets and exceeds any power requirements.

HCI Energy joined more than 5,600 attendees and exhibitors from 22 countries in Orland, Fl., for APCO 2016 held Aug. 14-17. The conference provided those in attendance an opportunity to earn CEUs, visit the expo and network with peers. APCO 2016 also offered more than 100 educational sessions and featured more than 260 exhibitor companies, as well as insightful keynote speakers and enjoyable social events like the APCO Block Party and the Connect & Celebrate Dinner.
